An antique Continental carved walnut backstool
European, probably Germany or Bavarian, possibly 18th Century
The tall back surmounted with carved crest with C-scrolls over a straight crest rail with guilloche decoration, suspended on a back carved into winged caryatids, the trapezoidal seat centering an engraved circle with foliate decoration, all raised on a carved base with winged caryatid supports.
50 inches tall
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition
