Toyohara Kunichika wood block print 14”x26” Framed
This was a gift to my parents from our momasan while we lived in Japan from 1960-1963
Dear Patricia,
Thanks for the clear pictures. Is it possible to take it out of the frame and made a picture of the back ?
Regards,
Simon Breider
I just paid over 200 for glass and sealing it but if you think that it’s really necessary I will see if I can take it back to them to redo.
Dear Patricia,
If you can recall how the back was looking. I need to see that the print and colors are also visible on the backside. See example on this page please ( scroll down haf way ). Let me know please what you can recall. So its not about the repair section but only to see a clear example of front and backside.

I just had the glass replaced on the print. They have sealed the back of frame to protect it. I had never seen it out of frame. I always thought it was silk but they told me it looked like something that had grains in it. I ou can clearly see that on back.
