The piece likely dates back to the period from 1990-1999. The piece was specifically made in the village of Teotitlan del Valle by the weaver Evaristo Martinez. The piece is has an eclectic design with motifs of the Zapotec Culture from pre-hispanic houses to northern caves. famously known "Kokopelli Flute Players" were also depicted on the piece. The piece's pile was made 30% of Wool and 70% of Mohair. The colours used on the piece were from the Sandoz Company in Switzerland and they're acid rugs.
