Condition
The condition of your old whisky bottle is a significant indicator to the value. if you are collecting whisky, then you must keep your bottle of whisky safe from undesired scratches, any fading labels and missing parts. You should always check bottles for any damage, as this will affect the value. It is recommendable to keep your bottle in a safe place and always away from direct sunlight.

Is the bottle open?

Open bottles of whisky loose their collectible value. Air is the enemy of spirits such as whisky, once it comes into contact, the drink begins to change the taste and molecular composition.
Full bottles in great condition is the most desired. On the other hand lower-fill bottles are collected as an historical example, or decoration. Especially if its provenance is interesting.

The temperature

There is no definite metric, although it is suggested that it should not be stored above 21 degrees celsius. Each whisky is affected differently according to the temperature. The important thing is to avoid high temperatures.

The brand
There are various brands that are known for high quality. Brands that have sold well at auctions and marketplaces for a long time. The Macallan 1946

Glenfiddich Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve 1955

Glenfiddich 1937 Rare Collection

Dalmore 62 Single Highland Malt Scotch
