Japanese sword, wakizashi, signed Yasutsugu for Sagami lineage
02 August 2025
Description

It is papered and I was told it is a rare writing of Yasutsugu for Sagami lineage with one entry in Meikan which ends around Tembun 1500-1520. As well, the paper is from the "Kantei club" dated 1986 or so and was issued to Kajiwara Kotoken, who was a well known sword scholar and practioner of martial arts. They issued papers from the late 80's to early 90's. Also, stated that the scabbard has a seperate paper from the NBTHK, certifying the scabbard as "Hozon".

Dimensions

The length is 48.4cm (w/out scabbard), 3cm W x .6cm D (thick) w/a curvature of .7cm. An overall length with scabbard of 62cm, nagasa is 39.5 cm/15.5"
