8 piece place setting with extra serving pieces. It's by Commenity Plate. Used but in great condition. In original silverware box. I believe it's from 1921.
Owned by my grandmother.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful flatware set. Such vintage flatwares are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
It is a lovely flatware set in the original box made of silverplate. The decoration is beautiful and fits perfectly on the handles of the flatware. The material is silverplate as you mention yourself. Unfortunately silverplate is not as valuable as silver and the prices for silverplate are often very low. Despite the decoration, the original box and the amount of parts in this set and the good condition without restorations or to many signs of wear and use the price is only 50-75 US$ for the entire set including the original box.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online silver auction, where I believe the silverplated flatware has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the beautiful flatware set. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

Thank you for your comment.
Yes I am afraid that antique silverplated flatware sets are not very sought after when sold second hand. Retail prices may be higher, but I am afraid that a realistic selling price at auction would be below 100 US$.

I am just very surprised. Thank you for your assistance.
Only $50 - $75 for the entire set? It's almost a hundred years old.
