By The Walt Disney Company -Certified and Framed 1928 Limited Edition Serigraph Cel of Mickey Mouse and Minnie in “Sunday Drive” from film “Nifty Nineties” In excellent condition. The art for this serigraph was carefully selected by Disney artists from the original animation drawings used to produce “Nifty Nineties”. The artists used the master print of the film as their color guide. The serigraphy artisans at Chicago Serigraphic Workshop created fifteen separate screens, one for each individual color, from which the edition was printed, one color at a time. By using this meticulous serigraph process, the hand-crafted quality of an original cel was achieved. The limited edition is comprised of 9,500 serigraph cels. As is custom in fine art printmaking, the silkscreens used to create the edition were destroyed when the edition was completed. And, just as the original print must bear the artist’s signature to ensure authenticity, each of these serigraph cels bears the distinctive serigraph seal of the Walt Disney Company. “Sunday Drive” serigraph cel is fragile and should always be framed under Plexiglas or glass.
