These may look like sketches but the Disney copyright symbol in the lower right corners indicates they are actually art prints made FROM sketches. They were offset lithograph prints capture the pencil and red-chalk animation roughs from Walt Disney Studios.

One of these depicts Donald Duck and Daisy Duck dancing from the 1940 animated short Mr. Duck Steps Out. The short introduced Daisy and it was directed by Jack King, in collaboration with Carl Barks, who would go on to become tremendously influential in Disney comics.

The other shows Mickey Mouse and Pluto, from the short film The Pointer, from 1939. In that film, Mickey appeared for the first time with white sclera and pupils, a major change from when he was earlier depicted with black oval eyes. The film was a collaboration with Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston, Preston Blair, Shamus Culhane, John Lounsbery and others; it was nominated for Best Short Subject (cartoon) at the 1940 Oscars, though it did not win.

When these prints come to auction, they usually sell for between $20 and $40 each, with this pair probably selling for between $50 and $100.
