As best I can tell from my initial research this set includes a 1950s-60s Vejle Stole Mobelfabrik Dining Room Table with 6 chairs possibly Arne Wahl Iversen GS 61 Rosewood Dining Chairsin. Made in Denmark. 54" long. Extended leaves adds 19 1/2" each. 35" wide. 29" high. Chair backs ar 18" wide. I believe the wood is walnut or rosewood. The seats appear to be Naugahyde. The original fabric underneath the seat cushion has been removed. This set has been gently used. There are some small scratches. Good condition. One chair has a small cut on the seat itself.
I believe my parents purchased the table and chairs new. The only owners were my mother and then me. Purchased while living in Massachusetts during the 1960's I believe from Scandanavian Designs in Boston.
This is a vintage, Mid Century Modern, 1960s, Danish Modern style and make dining table and 6 chairs that were exported for specialty sale in America. The table, which extends with leaves, is marked by the manufacturer, Vejle Stole Mobelfabrik and appears to be done in rosewood and showing the grain. The chairs are Arne Wahl Iversen designed in the GS 61 model likely for Glyngore Stolefabrik. The estimate is for the table and chairs altogether and is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
Thank you!
