Hi Karen
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
More than 3.5 million 1973-D pennies were minted, making it one of the higher-mintage cents of the 1970s. It was 95% copper and 5% zinc, with a weight of 3.11 grams. Because so many were made, their value depends almost entirely on grade and only those with a grade higher than 60 have value significantly above face value.
Your photos aren't sufficient to sell if there are minting anomalies but the chances are good that this is worth just its face value.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage 1973-D copper penny
ungraded, blackened
.6 inch
CONDITION: worn
