25-1/8w X 30-1/16h canvas in 32-1/2w X 37-1/2h gilded frame. Oil is of Samuel T. Armstrong (1800-1887) father of Jane Mathilda Armstrong who married Bishop Abram Littlejohn, the first Bishop of Long Island, NY. Artist name not visible, possibly hidden By the frame. The portraits have been in my family for several generation.
My family descends from a Wesson/ Littlejohn line and has retained these oils for several generations.
