The lack of maker's mark, and condition issues, of this cobalt stoneware crock, keep its market value comparatively low. If I've missed the maker's stamp, let me know and I'll re-evaluate this.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage American cobalt-decorated two-gallon stoneware crock
unattributed maker, late 19th/early 20th Century
Of circular section and cylindrical form, with molded rim, impressed '2' and with applied floral cobalt decoration; otherwise apparently unmarked.
12 inches high, 8 inches diameter
CONDITION: asymmetrical rim, cracks, chips and firing flaws throughout.
PROVENANCE: acquired at auction
