This is a lidded metal pedestal urn with crystal glass body and dore mount swan form handles on each side. The glass does appear in some areas to be wheel cut, though the pictures are a bit blurry to determine if the entire body is cut glass or a combination of molded and etched glass. The swan motif was popularized by Napoleon and a hallmark of the Empire style period at the beginning of the 19th century; however this piece is 20th century and possibly produced in an Asian country for export. The price tag on the underside is a substantially high retail asking price. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables.
