A ceramic covered casserole or soup tureen. The bottom bowl is a basket weave pattern with green trim. The lid features two quails. Their backs are decorated in green and black; their heads finely delineated. Their feet nicely painted as well. The piece stands approximately 9 1/2 inches tall. The piece appears to be in fine condition with no cracks or chips. It was represented as made in Italy.
