Dear Sir or Madam, I have two Carved Nigerian Elephant Tusks that I wish to donate to the University of Alabama Museum of Natural History. They are excited about getting them. The tusks were legally brought into the country in 1977. (Dept. of Antiquities document). The tusks were given to me by my aunt earlier this year. Also attached are the measurements of the tusks. The two of them weigh approximately 50 pounds in total. They tusks cannot be sold but can be donated. I am interested in having them appraised as required by the IRS Form 8283 to validate the donation. Is this something that you could do? Please let me know. Thank you, Robert Watts 205-799-5819
