The presented object appears to be a large-sized painting triptych made in oil paint on canvas with the measurements of 33 x 46 inches. The triptych depicts the fundamental life of the cossacks. The first part depicts the way to the battle or to watch for the enemy. The second part depicts the battle on a horse with an enemy. The third part. of the triptych depicts the victories cossack returning home with the loot. This painting was signed and made by the Austrian artist Adolf BAUMGARTNER-STOILOFF (1850-1924) who mainly depicted cossacks and troikas.
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
