Bought in Saudi Arabia in 1983. Was told that it was previously in a Saudi prince's palace. There were several other rugs , mostly larger, that had the same pattern. Think it's wool. My knot count is 12 x 16 an inch

In a muted palette comprised of blues, grays and browns, centering a shaped medallion on a blue chevron ground, within a blue border with small geometric patterning, cream selvedges (fringe trim).
5 ft by 9 ft (280 cm by 151 cm)
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: purportedly once in a Saudi prince's palace
