A Hand Knotted Iranian Tabriz Rug or Book Carpet, dating back to the period between 1950-1970. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most recognized carpet weaving city of Iran. During the mid-century most of the pieces were produced in this quality. Mahi Tabriz pieces has some specific decorations than the usual Tabriz piece as you might have realized. This difference is constructed by using the so called "Herati" pattern which we can realize betwee floral patterns, it is a rotated square shape connecting flowers.
A very colourfel piece with a above average quality and composition. The colours are very charming and natural. Wool on Wool. Fair conditions with worn parts in the center and the outside part in better condition.
