Dear Mary,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a statue made out of painted plaster mass or gypsum with the measurements of 7 1/2 feet height. This piece is a copy after or cast taken from a stone sculpture. It depicts a caryatide and was probably an architectural decoration in the style of the Roman antiquity
This piece was made in the middle or second half of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 1.000 to 2.000 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
