This piece is a monumental one piece hand thrown floor vase with continuous pull lines a mineral-rich jade green glaze raised polychrome enamels with extensive micro enameling and integrated continuous micro-gilding and a raised underglaze four character cartouche executed in relief beneath the glaze rather than painted on the surface the characters are commonly read as "Hall of splendor". The decoration is naturalistic in asymmetrical with flora and fauna rendered in layered relief integrated directly into the glaze and enamel work including large layered chrysanthemums executed in gilding at multiple layers the base exhibits a monumental floor scale form with broad shoulder wasted neck and flared rim design for elegant floor display it's balanced harmonious proportions are consistent with high quality late Kangxi to early Yongzheng traditional workshop practice rather than later mass produced or export decorative shapes because of these details I believe the base aligns with this transitional period workshop context
