Hello Tonya,
I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal,
Considering the photographs, overall pattern, materials used and the composition, I concluded that this is a Silver Florally Shaped Brooch decorated with a single piece of semi-precious stone and a pearl. The piece's casting indicates lack of precision and the piece likely dates from 1940 to 1960 period. The general patter of the piece depicts a flower with a pearl in the centre, the pearl is likely a natural freswater pearl. The green semi-precious stone at the top of the piece is either a tumbled Jade or a tumbled Aventurin. There is a "DB" mark vertically alligned on the back of the piece. The DB initials are usually used on Scottish-British silver pieces but the documented examples are almost never aligned vertically but rather alligned horizontally. Therefore, although the piece might have Scottish origins it's mark is not recognizable or attributed to any specific producer. The leaves of the floral body are casted very naturally and with realistic unsymmetrical curves. The piece also has "925" mark which certifies it's silver's authenticity. The piece is in good condition with minimal signes of age and use.
