Description
It appears to be old with an open work metal scallop around the edges. The metal appears to be old, possibly tarnished. I do not know what the metal is. It appears to be hand carved. The bar part of the clasp appears to be newer than the Cameo.

2” long and 1 1/4” wide

Unfortunately I know nothing of its history I purchased it because I love cameo’s new and old.

A Metal & Shell Cameo Brooch, Italian. last quarter of the 19th Century
the oval panel carved with a lady in profile, within an open tarnished surround.
Dimensions: 2” long and 1 1/4” wide
