The inscription at the bottom identifies it as “Palæornis torquatus — Rose-Ringed Parrakeet, Yellow Variety.” More importantly, the lower left reads “E. Lear del. et lithog.” and the lower right “Printed by C. Hullmandel.” Those inscriptions match the original plate created by Edward Lear for his landmark Illustrations of the Family of Psittacidae, or Parrots.
