A mahogany? hall tree with hooks and a mirror and an abacus motif, as well as carvinh and interesting touches. The wood tone is beautiful. There is a brass tray at the bottom of the tree that is stamped "Parker". It appears to be there to catch water from umbrellas that hang from the rack above. There is something whimsical about it, like very interesting carved motifs that look hieroglyphic in style and the abacus design. It is sort of fun and functional.
The piece measures 77.5 inches tall x 28 wide and 13.5 inches deep.
Hi Rhonda
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
You keep finding the Most. Amazing. Things! Truly.... :)
The name "Parker" isn't bringing up much in the way of relevant information but the style is very much Aesthetic Movement, which was popular in the US and UK at the turn of the century. I personally think this should be worth about $1,000, I like it that much; I haven't found any close comparables and those that are closest in size and form are selling for $300-500 or $400-600.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
