Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The map traces the division's advance through France and Belgium, from just northeast of Paris on August 30, 1944, to the Rhine River on March 5, 1945. It includes specific dates and times when various objectives and cities were reached and taken. One of the most unique element is the border; which lists the names of the soldiers who comprised the 748th Field Artillery Battalion.
This map is scarce and I've only been able to find a couple examples that have been sold - both by map dealers - for retail prices around $750; this usually translates to fair market values ranging from $300-400.
In both cases, the author was not identified.
