Toad with intact skin fossil from the Pleistocene possibly
29 March 2025
Description

The crazy one first 1. It's couple dark brown rock fragments with a shiny worked surface appearance with what even looks like ancient markings of some sort and one in one if the pieces I thought was a gemstone actually appears to be a small fossilized toad with skin. It looks like you can see the general shape and some warts as obvious raised bumps. It was was about 4 feet down in sandy soil right where the sand layers went from dark golden sand to reddish sand. It is four pieces of brown rock smooth and shiny and chipped away in areas and marked in others with the inner layer a rough or not polished like the outside appearance with the the toad fossil with skin intact being emebeded in one.
