This sculpture on a frame was made by Omar Centeno. He wrote back to me by email to confirm that he was the artist. It also has a sculpted signature molded into the work. I do not know what the sculpture art is made of. I acquired the artwork through a friend of a friend back some time around 2010 in Denver Colorado. The previous owner had remarked that he had paid around $4,000 but did not know where the certificate of authentication was at. Apparently he did not care about the value of this item because his boyfriend no longer wanted the piece at their home. He was giving away several valuable items and this was the item I took. Also, he had just sold his business for over 2 million dollars, so that gave him incentive to not care much about money at that time. At the moment, the artwork sits in my office at home in Minneapolis. My wife does not want it hung anywhere else, so it sits in a very tight and clutter area. There is no deterioration or issues on the front of the artwork. Material cracks over the frame sides where one could add a frame have always existed on the art as seen in the pictures provided. I do not believe the sides were meant to be exposed but am not certain either.

Hi Frank,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Omar Centeno is a Mexican artist known for his sculptural works. Active during the 20th century, his pieces have appeared in various art auctions. The other works of his that have sold at auction have been made largely of resin, which is a fairly hard substance (not quite as hard as glass, porcelain, stone or metal).
If you discover that this is made of a different material, please let me know and I'll reevaluate this appraisal accordingly.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
