Adidas Top Ten 2000. Sample. 12/08 production
Size 14
Hi GH,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The Adidas Top Ten 2000 is strongly associated with Kobe Bryant’s rookie-era Adidas contract. It was part of his early NBA footwear rotation, which gives it long-term collector interest and historical relevance in sneaker culture. It represents the "EQT / Feet You Wear” design era, which was built around natural foot motion concepts, emphasized a low-to-the-court feel and focused on performance-first engineering rather than lifestyle aesthetics.
Adidas does not release production or sample-run counts for most basketball performance models from that era. The Top Ten 2000 was a general retail performance model, not a numbered limited edition, so it was produced in large, ongoing factory runs, not a fixed “sample batch.”
In sneaker terminology, “samples” (wear-test or design prototypes) did exist, but those are internal development pieces and their quantities are not recorded publicly.
These look slightly worn and I don't see the desirable original packaging; these have a fair market value of $75-125 as is but if you're planning on selling these, you won't undersell this if you ask between $175 and $200.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto.
