27 Inches Wide 19 1/2 Inches Long
My client received this in 1964 from his uncle who lived in Belgium Congo.
Dear customer,
Thank you for the additional images and your patience.
The presented object appears to be a traditional headdress made out of painted and carved wood and plant fiber. The headdress consists of a geometrical lower part and a figural upper part. It could be made in Sierra Leone or Congo in the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
