Dear customer,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a ceremonial figurine that has similarities to pieces of the Lawala tribes or Lega tribes in Congo. Especially the log shape of the mask or face is comparable. This piece was made out of carved wood and was painted. It was earliest made in the 19th century bit more probable made in the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 200 to 500 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
