This piece is one of several wooded sculptures which aged, It measures 24 x 9 x 4. It weighs about eight pounds, appears light and aged. It features a male a with possible head dress, genital exposed. A whole in the top on the head, which may be result of age.
Informed by auction house that the prior owner, traveled Africa and collected vastly. His son disposed of the estate.

The presented object appears to be a wooden sculpture made in the late 19th or 20th century. The statue depicts a hermaphrodite and is comparable to pieces made by the Dogon and Bamana tribes in Mali.
