Alabaster Buddha statue believed to be 19th c, maybe earlier. 12 inches tall x 9 inches wide. Weighs roughly 10 lbs., or just under. Purchased in 2002 from an art gallery in Sedona, AZ. Was told it was probably Burmese, possibly 300+ years old.
I am unsure. I purchased from the gallery in Sedona, AZ, and may have a copy of the brochure from that gallery somewhere at home in a file. Not sure if there was any more info of source.
Burmese Buddha indeed. Looks 18th / early 19th to me. Bhumisparsha mudra in the pose it means gesture of the enlightened. Alabaster is the material. Nice quality carving. Big one's can be very expensive this on e has a nice size. These are sought after and can be sold quite easily in any auction house. Try to sell on online platform with good exposure or a local auction house with prescription to Invaluable, live auctioneers, lot-tissimo or other platform. They will also attract international bidders and that will give a fair change of a good price.
Its blocked for me (?) and I see some mediocre reviews on Google.

Not sure if this is a good platform. Ebay.com is alway's a solid choice I believe.

Hi, Thank you for such a quick reply! I have it listed on a local online listing, Offer Up. Not sure the reach, as I just started using it the other day. If I list w/ your auctions, is there another step for me to take, and what is the fee? Do I cover shipping cost? Thanks!
