The underside is open, revealing a hollow cast, typical of lost-wax metal casting processes.

This type of gilded Buddha figure is commonly associated with 19th to early 20th century Southeast Asian Buddhist devotional art, particularly from Thailand or Myanmar (Burma). The stylistic features, including the lotus base and the serene facial modeling, are consistent with Rattanakosin-period Thai statuary or late Konbaung Burmese pieces. The rope tied to the arm is not original and was likely added for handling or ritual suspension.
