Anasazi seed jar
Clay seed jar from the early Anasazi. Identified as Mancos Black on white (1000-1150). Item is in very good condition. Measures 7 1/2" across top, stand 3 1/2 " tall
My father dug it up on his farm near Cortez, CO in the late 1930 to early 1940's. It has been in my family since then

The material, execution and surface patina perfectly fit to the provenance you stated. While this is a family heirloom to you, there is also a current market value.
