This is a one-of-a-kind wooden wall showpiece naturally made from the roots of a 250+ year-old Banyan tree that naturally fell due to old age in Gujarat, India. While the area was being cleared by woodworkers, a young boy noticed this unique, heart-shaped piece of the tree. A doctor nearby remarked that it resembled shape of “the heart. ” The boy asked his father if they could preserve it, and the piece has remained in the family ever since. The sculpture has never been carved or modified. It has been gently polished and regularly cared for over three decades. It is rich in cultural, emotional and spiritual value, representing a deep bond between nature, a mother and son, and Hindu traditions that regard trees as living symbols of good fortune and connection with the Gods (Specially Banyan Tree).
