The kampilan originated from the Moro people of the Philippines, particularly the Sulu and Mindanao regions in the southern part of the Philippine archipelago. Still sharp, animal fat preservation coating still intact. Original hand carved handle. Guard believed to be added after acquisition as well as four brass bells.
