What does this mean?

Dear Ash,

You have a Chinese kabinet made first half to mid 20th century.Panels are hand painted with gold paint on a black lacquer background. Also the kabinet itself has been lacquered with red lacquer to give it the red appearance. The upper panels are carved with hand and are sometime sold separate but originate from this type of kabinet. Its hard to say the type of wood but usually they used Elm wood.
