This punch bowl was handed down to me from my Grandmother. I accidentally came across a similar, if not identical punch bowl on another antique website while I was searching for an antique mug, and was surprised to see it priced $1,500-$2,500. There are no names or inscriptions that I can see. It is quite sturdy and has no visible cracks or chips, though the ladle and cups are no longer with it.

Hi Natalie,
Thank you for the link!
MS Rau Antiques is one of the premier antiques stores in the US; they participate in a lot of very high end antiques shows and they list their wares at very high RETAIL prices, which are quite a bit different/higher than the fair market values (based on auctions) that Mearto uses.
An insurance value on this bowl would be $1,200, closer to what they are asking for theirs (note the 'make an offer' button on their listing...they are usually willing to negotiate on a lower price.)
If you have additional questions, etc, please let me know; otherwise, this appraisal has been concluded.
Thank you again for using Mearto,
Delia
