Beautiful antique drop-front secretary/writing desk, estimated to date from approximately 1895–1915. This is a compact Colonial Revival-era piece with Queen Anne-influenced detailing and wonderful original character. The drop-front opens to create a generous writing surface and reveals a fitted interior with removable pigeonhole organizers, small shelves, and a center drawer. It also has a large full-width lower drawer with traditional dovetail construction, mortised lock hardware, brass hinges, curved decorative legs, and a lower shelf/stretcher. A beautiful functional piece for an antique, traditional, eclectic, cottage, vintage, or collected interior—and compact enough to work as a writing desk, entry piece, bedroom desk, or decorative secretary.
