Wood, 6 ft long
It was a gift many years ago. We were told it was from a very old church that had a slanted floor, but added a piece to fit it level floors.
This is an antique, turn of the 19th-20th century, 6 foot wide bench that was originally made for use as a church pew. The bottom has an added riser to accommodate a slant in the floor from where it came from initially. The arms and side panels are made with quarter-sawn oak and barley twist rails, the seat and back are done in planks. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
