Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a cute doll. Such vintage and antique toys are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The doll was made in Germany in the beginning of the 1900s. There were quite a few doll manufacturers at that time in Germany. The marks are very unclear but I believe the doll is made by Schoennau & Hoffmeister. When appraising dolls the condition of the head is the most important. Any chips, hairlines or cracks will decrease the value of the doll. The body and limbs are made of composition, wood and papmache.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys auction, where I believe the doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
