Antique Kukri knife with horn handle that has inlay, a leather scabbard, and 2 small fixed knives. The knife length from handle to tip is 20" long
It was part of my fathers sword collection
Dear Fenella,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the delay with the apprisal.
The presented object appears to be a typical Nepalese Kukri fighting knife. This Kukri comes with a leather scabbard and two smaller knives which were used as tools for meals. The material of the handles is not clearly identifiable on the base of images. This set was probably made in the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 40 to 80 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
