I have multiple antique maps from Vidal, quite old.
Hi Nicholas,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Vidal-Lablache produced and circulated the majority of these colonial wall maps between about 1900 and the early 1920s. After World War I, map design, typography, and colonial emphasis begin to shift noticeably but based on the publisher (Armand Colin), the style of lithography and the color palette and, most significantly, the absence of later 1920s-30s geopolitical updates, this map was most likely made between 1905 and 1915.
I can't tell if this is a first edition or later classroom edition but if these are the former, they have a fair market value of about $100 each, with later classroom examples being worth less...each typically in the $50 range or less.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

PROVENANCE: Inherited
