\The dimensions are 28 inch Height, 20 inch width and 1 1/2 inch thickness. The back is all wood. The glass is showing signs of age. Most visible deterioration is along the sides and corner where the glass meets the wood (also there are spots along the edge where the glass almost appears scrapped away). There appears to be a black tinged specks, but when a light is shined on it, it clearly is a murky gray. There is signs of deterioration (Spots) everywhere at random within the glass but the majority is along the edges. When a light hits the mirror countless sparkles radiant from the glass, mostly white hues sometimes they appear to be blue. When i tap a coin on the mirror it gives off sharp sound, not quite a ring but not dull neither. The top of the mirror is rounded there are signs that it was handmade, the symmetry of certain points do not line up well. Giving it a very custom feel. I love the energy of the mirror, and am excited to find out more about its possible origins. Thank you for your appraisal and your time.
It was found online in the free section on craigslist. Someone's elder parent had passed away and they were giving away her remaining furniture. There is no mark or name indicating who or where it is from.
Dear Lucas,
Thanks for your request. This is a mirror probably made in the second third of the 20th century and its dimensions are 28 inch height and 20 inch wide. The frame is decorated with three different wood inlay. Probably birch, maple and nut wood was used. The mirror itself is in a used condition. An estimation would be under 30 USD.
With kind regards,
Georg
