Length overall 33" (with scabbard) and blade is 24.5" long. Partially rewrapped handle grip coming apart. Apparent repair on end of pommel. Dragon engraving 6"on blade (see images). Blade to scabbard fit is tight.
Sword was inherited from family who likely visited China in the 1920's.

This appears to be a chinese 19th century Dao sabre, slightly curved, single edged blade with thin groove, decorated with dragon motif, bronze hilt with rope covering, scabbard with snake leather and bronze mounts. The estimate is based on similar items offered or sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
