Believed to be a WW 2 Japanese NCO gunto sword. It came frome the estate of a friend, so I do not know the history. I would consider it to be in in fair to good condition. The blade shows some minor pitting, but still holds somewhat of an edge. Have not been able to reveal the tang, reluctant to try. Grip is in good shape with sharkskin.
