Antique Rusted Sword
Found this sword in the Arabian Gulf. Didn't clean it and did nothing to it, just took some photos and I would like to know more information about it. A leather strap is on the blade's cross guard with an insignia on it still intact. The sword's length from the pommel to the point is 90cm (35"). I do not know the material.

The presented object appears to be a Takoba sword how it is common in the Western Sahel area. This sword belongs together with the Kaskara swords to the typical swords with a straight blade. The Takoba is used by the Tuareg, the Hausa, and Fulani. This piece was probably made in the 19th or 20th century.
This piece is in bad condition and there is serious corrosion damage visible in the images provided. Because of the condition, it is very difficult to find a potential buyer.
A fair market estimation would be between 0 to 80 USD.
