Antique electric Singer sewing machine
Hi Donna
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
According to the serial number G0275057 and this website (https://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/serial-numbers/singer-g-series-serial-numbers.html), your machine was built in March 1910, making it an antique (which must be 100 years or older).
So few people use sewing machines these days that the market is somewhat flooded by them. With considerably less demand than supply, prices remain modest with most models by Singer - the gold-standard in sewing machines - bringing less than $200. Ones that are not built into tables and retain their original domed cases are worth a little more: $300-400(mostly because the table-mounted ones take up a lot of space).
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An antique gilt stencil and ebonized electric Singer sewing machine
Serial number G0275057, made in March, 1910.
With electric light
CONDITION: This sewing machine appears to be in generally good condition.
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$300-400*
