Description
Thin silver blade with fancy etching. Very ornate bronze handle with head of Roman soldier, spread eagle, horse head, Roman goddess, relief faces at end of hilt.
Provenance
The original collector is deceased. Given to me in a home move clean out.

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry, and I apologize for the delay. This appears to be a fraternal order sword (like the Free Masons) from the early to mid 20th century. The steel and etching are in excellent condition, and the brass has a healthy patina. Given the condition of this piece, and completed auctions of similar items, a fair market estimation is 160-170 dollars. Please reach out with any questions.
