KJ Hummel W. Germany
6inches
Hi Judy,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Hummel figures were incredibly popular among collectors in the 1950s-1990s and there are a lot of them on the market, unfortunately with less demand than supply so it is quite rare for individual pieces to be worth more than $5-50 each, at auction. The value can occasionally be boosted if the piece retains its original factory packaging.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage MJ Hummel hand-painted porcelain "Apple Tree Boy" collectible figurine
made by Wm Goebel, West Germany, bearing the underglaze blue "Stylized Bee/TMK-3 mark in use from 1960 to 1972; also impressed "142/1"
Featuring a young boy sitting in a flowering apple tree, marked to the underside.
6 inches tall
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition.
PROVENANCE: inherited
$50-75*
